HOW IT WORKSThe Process

  • _Psychiatric Evaluation & Biochemical Testing
  • _Medication/Supplement Protocol
  • _Psychotherapy
Initial consultations are two hours in length followed by a discussion of diagnoses, symptoms and all clinical recommendations based on the assessment.
Each patient will receive a customized protocol to address their specific symptoms and needs. Some protocols will be only of vitamins while others will be a combination of medication and supplements.

Research shows that psychopharmacology and psychotherapy together provide the best results. Appropriate therapeutic recommendations will be provided to support the patient’s prognosis and healing.

Meet Valeria Dworkowitz, DNP

I treat patients with an integrative approach. I assess biochemistry and genetic markers in addition to factors such as lifestyle and diet. I utilize supplements in my treatment of patients, in addition to, or irrespective of, medication. If medication is utilized, my aim is to stabilize patients on as least medications as possible. My goal is to make every patient feel heard, accepted, and hopeful that the difficulties they are facing will be able to be managed and overcome. I am licensed to treat patients in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

FAQs

How long is the initial assessment?

The initial Psychiatric Evaluation is two hours in length. If the patient is a child/adolescent, the structure is divided into three parts. First, I  will assess the child alone, then I will meet with the parent(s) alone, and then we will meet all together.

Are sessions done in person or via telemedicine?

I prefer to do the initial evaluation in person at my office in Morristown, NJ. For patients who reside in NY, NH or MA, the assessment would be done via telemedicine. The structure is exactly the same as in person.

There may be opportunities where I travel to NY/NH/MA and will make the patient aware that we can meet in person at my office locations in their resident state.

How often will we meet?

Following the psychiatric evaluation and lab review, the regularity of sessions will vary for each patient. Depending on the acuity of the patient, we may meet every 2-6 weeks until there is stabilization of symptoms. Thus, we will usually meet more frequently in the beginning and once the patient is stable, once every 3 months at a minimum.

What ages do you treat?

I treat children (as young as 5), adolescents and adults. I am board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Do you take insurance?

I am an Out-Of-Network provider and not paneled with insurance companies.

It is the responsibility of the patient to be aware of their insurance benefits and contact their insurance provider regarding “Out of Network” coverage and/or reimbursement.

Following payment, I provide the patient with a Receipt and/or Superbill. The superbill will include all of the necessary documentation of the session (address, Tax ID/EIN, provider license number and NPI, date of service, service location, CPT code, amount paid) that the patient can choose to submit to their insurance for any possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Where do I purchase supplements?

Fullscript is a high quality supplement website I utilize to send patients supplement recommendations. All of my patients receive a 35% discount on recommended supplementation. I have given my patients the full discount applicable and receive no reimbursement of any kind from Fullscript.
